I got the chance to photograph in the studio a couple of weeks ago. I had been wanting to free up time to add some studio shots to my portfolio since I generally find myself photographing people in various environments. I find it a little more personal to photograph someone in the studio. You basically have them and your lights to play with. Not to mention also being an entertainer so no one finds you too boring during the shoot, although I did want the girls to look bored during some shots, so I had to pipe down and stop dancing. (I get excited when I take pictures, especially if James Brown is on my playlist).
Alyxia

Simple, clean headshots.

My prom date didn't show up look.

Needed a little convincing, but got Alyxia to yell at me.

And than laugh at me, no convincing needed.

First shot, playing with photoshop. Second shot is prom date not showing up on polaroid.
Jennilee
She gets photographed a lot in town, no need to ask why. Often I've seen Jennilee all glamoured up, so I decided I wanted to do something different. I knew Jennilee before the shoot, and know is a very bubbly person, so I decided to go dark with the shots. And to boot Jennilee is a great gal and fabulous artist. You should check out some of her work

Digi shots.

To switch it up I wanted to do some kind of point and shoot look. So I dusted off my D70s and cranked it to ISO 1600. I personally like it.

Point and shoot take 2.
