NO GOOD COWBOY.

I started working with Stoney Martins about a month ago. He mentioned an old barn just outside of town. We headed over to take a couple photos of the masked man. Photos are featured in Guerilla Magazine along with an article from Sanita Fejzic. Check out Guerilla HERE.

Stoney Martins will be releasing his new CD No Good Cowboy this Saturday at Mercury Launch. I'm going and if you want to know more about this cowboy, you should go too! Check out launch info HERE. Don't forget the look him up on youtube HERE.

MOVING STUDIO.

Most of the time I post photos done on location. I do also photograph people in studio, which mostly means bringing my kit to someones house and doing a couple photos. Here's photos from two recent sessions.

SING FOR ME.

Ottawa Magazine is running a story in their current issue about upcoming people in the Ottawa music industry. My gig was to get bands to play/sing for me while I was taking the photos in their rehearsal space. I was thrilled that my photo of Whitney from Sound of Lions got on the cover.

First photographed PRESCOTT at their country home/studio just outside the city. Got a huge welcome from a pack of 5 dogs jumping at me (wish I had a photo of that), took a bunch of photos, then played with some guns, all while listening to Prescott amazing vocals.

Quick dinner break, then we went to SOUNDS OF LIONS practice studio/basement. Only got a welcoming by one huge dog this time, but a nice one. It was a tight squeeze to take the photos in the basement, but the lighting was great. The cover image was actually the only photo I didn't use flash. You can see the perfectly positioned fluorescent light in the photo below.

'53 PANHEAD

For the past two weeks I've been hanging out with bikers. Don't worry I haven't joined a gang yet. Got a call from Rob earlier this month, he wanted some photos of his recent bike build. Rob's been driving bikes since he's a kid, now he's building a man's bike, 1953 Harley-Davidson Panhead. Actually Lee is building the bike and a couple other guys are working on it too. We spent two days in Alexandria at the shop looking at bike and doing a little planning. We'll be doing some more pics in the Spring. Going to do portraits and posed shots of the bike, and also some riding video's.
